Patsy Telpner graduated from the University of Manitoba in 1972, with a Bachelor of Arts degree. Since graduating Patsy has devoted much of her time to perfecting ceramics.

In 1980, after attending several North American ceramic conferences, Patsy began working as a full time ceramic designer. Over the years, the styles and tastes of this talented artist have progressed. Each piece continues to be handmade, hand-painted and unique.Patsy Telpner

Patsy works exclusively in Majolica, a medium that is associated with the Italian Renaissance. Her work is made with a white earthenware clay body that is covered in majolica glaze and decorated with bright or pastel stain colours, often in harmony with current trends in interiors.

“My work is both aesthetic and functional and is to be used as well as admired. It is important to me that each piece is different and special so that whoever owns my work has something very unique and will never see it duplicated anywhere”.

Patsy will also create custom serving pieces or commissions as well as corporate gifts. All her pieces are lead free, safe for food and can be used in the oven or microwave. They can also be put through the dishwasher.<
